About DiscSpotter

Life is good. And too short to manually sift through every Wurfpost email. That's why I built DiscSpotter: an unofficial tool for the German-speaking Ultimate Frisbee community that aggregates tournament announcements from Wurfpost and the Eurodisc mailing list and presents them in a clear, filterable format – by division, surface, format, age group and date. This project does not intend to replace Wurfpost, but to complement it. DiscSpotter is not an official offering of Wurfpost, Eurodisc, or any Ultimate federation.

How does it work?

Wurfpost is the central mailing list for the German Ultimate community; the Eurodisc list covers European tournament announcements. Both have been used for years to announce tournaments, training sessions, and other events. DiscSpotter automatically reads both lists and uses AI to extract structured information: date, location, division, format, fees, and registration deadlines. Data is updated daily; structured extraction is done by Google's Gemini AI. If you spot an error, just send me an email. The original announcements on Wurfpost are always authoritative. Authentication and data storage run via Supabase on EU servers in Stockholm.
